Yes. The net proceeds from The Wason Pond Wrangler are awarded to local, verified nonprofits selected by our Board Members. Major beneficiaries in 2023 included Special Olympics of NH, Boy Scouts, Windham Helping Hands, Chester Fire Department, Wilcomb Townsend Trust, The Upper Room, Adaptive Sports Partners, The Playground Project and SG Komen Breast Cancer.
The course is located at Wason Pond in Chester, New Hampshire.
The founders and organizers of the highly successful Wason Pond Pounder retired in 2022. Jessica Hatch and Andrew Wickson wanted to keep the tradition alive, mostly so the charitable beneficiaries would not be negatively impacted, so they will continue the event under a slightly different name, with the encouragement and assistance of the former Pounder board.
After you register for The Wrangler, you will receive the waiver in a DocuSign format to complete. Please complete this form via DocuSign if you can. You can also print the waiver form here and either bring it on race day or mail it to us well in advance. We must have a signed waiver in hand prior to your starting time.
