The Wason Pond Wrangler, formerly known as the Wason Pond Pounder, is a 5K course which include 10+ obstacles on the scenic trails of Wason Pond in Chester, New Hampshire. The Wrangler is a family-friendly, fun obstacle course trail race in an absolutely beautiful setting. The best part is that you can have fun with your whole family while raising funds for deserving, local charities. Major beneficiaries in 2023 included Special Olympics of NH, Boy Scouts, Windham Helping Hands, Chester Fire Department, Wilcomb Townsend Trust, The Upper Room, Adaptive Sports Partners, The Playground Project and SG Komen Breast Cancer. In 2024, our major beneficiary will be The Playground Project Corp in Chester, then we plan to shift the major beneficiary from adjacent town to adjacent town in future years.
Be prepared to run through tires, scale walls, and get wet before crossing the finish line to bask in the glory of your accomplishment.
While you trade war stories with friends, enjoy music & good food - all to support local, fantastic causes. Walk or run the course, either as an individual or as part of a team.
If you don't want to participate, but might like to volunteer or be a sponsor, contact Wrangler Central.
The fun, family-friendly Chester tradition is back. Same old fun, slightly different name. Leading the charge in 2024 are Jessica Hatch and Andrew Wickson along with an enthusiastic and growing Board.
